Each workshop includes a packet of handouts covering most of the class topics as well as a list of resources for supplies and further study.
Workshop Descriptions
Creating Your Unique Mixed Media Travel Journal
This workshop teaches the art of travel journaling with the objective of beginning a journal of a trip you have taken - either an extended trip or a series of single day adventures. We utilize our own art, stamping, stickers, materials found during travels and other mixed media available.
Introduction to Creating Travel Art Maps
This workshop teaches the principles of creating art maps and the elements map making with the objective of drawing a simple map of a trip you have taken or hope to take, a hike you like to take or a location you enjoy exploring.
Other options: life maps, neighborhood maps, fantasy maps, recipe maps, family maps, etc.
Bring your own unique travel ephemera.
Family Recipe to Family Heirloom
Gather your favorite family recipes, photos of the cooks in your family who are famous for certain dishes and create a one of a kind cookbook. Mix one part family recipes, an equal part of old photos and a sprinkling of your memories to produce your beautiful and useful recipe journal. We will complete several pages and lay out a plan for you to finish the journal on your own.
No artistic ability required, just memories of your family's favorite recipes.
MOST ART SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED.
